As a director for the International Network for Children and Families, Anne is a certified instructor and instructor trainer.  She teaches parents and professionals through workshops, seminars and presentations.  In her work, she teaches non-violent communication and emotional intelligence, especially through the course Redirecting Children’s Behavior.  “This course is the perfect complement to my book series.  It is vitally important for the human species to learn about loving relationships.  This course gives adults useful and practical tools to be that loving presence in the lives of children

My mission is to teach myself and others to ‘come from our hearts instead of our hurts’.  This course is an integral part of that focus.  I keep in mind the acronym for my book series.  I took the word COACH and used it as my guiding principle:  Caring for One Another Creates Healing.  This is the secret to a happy life.”

On a personal note...

Anne represents a rich tapestry of background, training and experiences.  She comes to the field of life coaching, teaching and writing with an interesting mix of personal and professional experience.

Anne holds a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and has over 30 years of experience in the medical milieu.  She has worked with a variety of families, agencies and professionals, with 15 years devoted to pediatric issues.  She additionally has been a manager in health care environments, with a background in public health and volunteer social service agencies, including the American Red Cross, parent support groups and cancer support organizations.  “I have intuitively learned to make sense of the challenges in my personal life by working with others who are facing the same obstacles.”

As the parent of an autistic daughter, she has experienced medical, social service and educational systems from the consumer side, as well as the professional side.  “This has helped me to come from a place of empathy and compassion in my treatment of others.  No one is simply a ‘case’; we are all human beings first and always.  There are no ‘disorders’, only ‘dis-eases’ of the spirit.  In finding our link to the spiritual side of life we gain peace and joy, despite the challenges we face.”
